About Me
Hi, I’m Ryan 🙋🏻♂️ the hands (and heart) behind The OC Dad Woodworks.
I live in beautiful South Orange County, where I’m raising my daughter and building a life filled with creativity, quality craftsmanship, and a whole lot of sawdust. I’ve always known I wanted to be a dad — it’s the most important title I’ve ever held. But woodworking? That passion came to life a couple of years ago when I unexpectedly lost my job. What started as a way to stay busy quickly turned into something much more meaningful.
Woodworking has become my outlet — a place where I can be meticulous, thoughtful, and proud of every single piece I create. I specialize in small-batch, handmade items like bread knives, charcuterie boards, whiskey and cigar trays, and custom pieces for people who appreciate the beauty of well-crafted wood.
Every project I take on is made with care, attention to detail, and a desire to create something both functional and beautiful. I don’t believe in rushing the process — if it’s got my name on it, it’s going to be done right.
When I’m not in the shop, you’ll probably find me paddle boarding with my daughter, grabbing tacos, or just enjoying SoCal. Everything I do — in work and in life — is about setting a strong example for her. She’s why I push myself, why I take pride in what I make, and why I’m so excited to keep growing this business.
Whether you’re looking for a unique gift, a custom piece, or something special for your home, I’d love to help bring your vision to life.
Thanks for stopping by — and thank you for supporting local.
